He was recently featured on the front page of the Daily Business Review for his hard work on a case that hit home. After the murder of a childhood friend in a Lauderhill apartment complex, Josiah successfully obtained a multi-million-dollar settlement against the complex. In 2021, he was interviewed by TMZ regarding one of his clients who was shot outside a popular South Beach restaurant.

Josiah has received recurring nominations by his legal peers, these include Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in 2021 and 2022, Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2020, 2021, and 2022, National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, and the National Bar Association Top 40 Under 40.

Josiah is the incoming President for the Florida Justice Association Young Lawyers Section—an organization dedicated to being a voice for Floridians who suffer injuries at the hands of others.

Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Josiah has gone on to represent countless friends who have been injured in car accidents and has even represented the families of numerous friends who have lost their lives to shootings.

Josiah’s background has molded him to fight for others. He had a rough upbringing. When Josiah was seven years old, his oldest brother committed suicide. His brother was just 12 years old at the time he took his life. This has given him the ability to empathize with those suffering from tremendous losses.

A University of Central Florida Alumnus, Josiah received his B.A. in Political Science and later graduated from the Florida State University College of Law, during which time he served as Secretary and Tryout Chair for the prestigious FSU Law Mock Trial team.

While at FSU Law, Josiah was also elected Captain of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) Mock Trial team. During the yearly National BLSA Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition, Josiah’s team competed against hundreds of law students from around the United States. His team placed first in the country, and Josiah was bestowed the “Best Advocate” Award.

He began his career as a prosecutor at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office in 2015. While there, he advocated on behalf of thousands of victims throughout the community and tried more than 30 jury and non-jury trials. Josiah lives and works in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Donna and their son, Christian.
